China hualan horizontal waste baler is an industrial automation device that uses hydraulic power to compress and bundle loose materials in a horizontal direction. It utilizes a horizontally positioned compression chamber (material hopper) and hydraulic cylinders to drive a ram, thereby performing high-density compression and automatically or semi-automatically bundling materials. Its primary purpose is to reduce storage and transportation costs through volume reduction.
Horizontal balers range from 20 tons for lightweight materials to 800 tons for heavy scrap steel, with 60–160 tons being the most common and optimal range for general waste recycling.

Extra Notes:
When selecting a machine, except type of material, you should pay attention to the following two points:
1.Moisture content: If moisture exceeds 12%–15%, choose a model with drainage holes or dynamic pressure compensation to prevent damage or mold.
2.Contaminants: For materials with sharp objects (e.g., staples, glass), opt for wear-resistant steel plates or hardened blades to extend service life.
1.Frame System
High-strength steel plates, reinforcing ribs, base plate
The equipment’s load-bearing base is typically constructed from high-quality steel that has been welded and annealed to ensure it does not deform under high pressure.
2.Compression System
Main hydraulic cylinder, push plate (press head), guide slides
Core power source. The hydraulic cylinder drives the pusher plate to move back and forth inside the hopper, applying immense pressure (typically 10–30 MPa) to the material.
3.Hydraulic System
Hydraulic pump, motor, oil tank, seals
Provides hydraulic power; leak prevention is ensured by a precision-ground cylinder body and imported seals, guaranteeing stable pressure.
4.Electrical/Control System
PLC control cabinet, sensors, control panel
Controls the equipment’s automatic cycle (feeding, compression, and strapping) and features a self-diagnostic function.
5.Auxiliary System
Conveyor belt, lacing/strapping mechanism, door assembly
Responsible for material conveyance and securing the packaged goods. Some models are equipped with automatic bagging or stringing devices.
